Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Firelink Team's Luizão Andrade started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Firelink Team getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Claudinho de Godoi hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Fenix FC's Paulo Renato Faria tried to score from far away in the 3rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Fenix FC's José Pedro Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso de Souza in the 5th minute of play. Emílio Mangueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clóvis Brasil went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Emílio Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The supporters of Fenix FC booed when Firelink Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Paulo Renato Faria sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Firelink Team's Emílio Mangueira didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Firelink Team's zone, José Maria Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Mangueira came out of the goal and José Maria Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emílio Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Massa in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Firelink Team's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Guedes came free, but Emílio Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emílio Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Firelink Team's goal looked a bit too open when Nilmar Donatello came free, but Emílio Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Fenix FC's Dino Massa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emílio Mangueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Emílio Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Emílio Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Guedes in the 44th minute of the match. Fenix FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Narciso de Souza 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. After the first half Fenix FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Maria Guedes to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Luizão Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. José Pedro Melo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 54 played minutes Fenix FC got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson de Queiroz. Emílio Mangueira made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Dino Massa sent off a good shot on target. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Fenix FC's José Maria Guedes in the 60th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Emílio Mangueira was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Firelink Team through an amazing save. In the 61stth minute of the game Luizão Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenix FC's José Pedro Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Guedes in the 63rd minute of play forced Firelink Team's goalkeeper Emílio Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 65th minute of the game was made by Juninho Abraão with Dino Massa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Dino Massa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Emílio Mangueira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Fenix FC booed when Firelink Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Emílio Mangueira throw himself and got hold of the ball when José Maria Guedes in the 68thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. José Maria Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Luizão Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Pedro Melo was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Emílio Mangueira came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Fenix FC's Dino Massa. But to his dismay, Dino Massa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. José Maria Guedes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emílio Mangueira came out and tried to block the shot, but José Maria Guedes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 88th minute. If Dino Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emílio Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Guedes in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Fenix FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Firelink Team throughout the match.
