A collision led to Caveirão getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Diguinho Carneiro hit a great ball. Rogério Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Duarte having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Rogério Meirelles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Union Flush Star fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 14 played minutes Caveirão got a freekick which was hit by Duda Senna. In the 16th minute, Breno Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Union Flush Star's goalkeeper Maicon Pereira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otávio Mazza. 26 minutes into the game, Luís Guilherme Custódio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Union Flush Star's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caveirão the free kick. In the 51st minute, Germano Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luís Guilherme Custódio came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Union Flush Star fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Guilherme Custódio couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Union Flush Star booed when Caveirão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Caveirão's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Vides came free, but Samuel Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Guilherme Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armandinho de Toledo lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 82nd minute, one of Union Flush Star:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Union Flush Star. In the 88thth minute of the game Otávio Mazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Union Flush Star's Maicon Pereira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Union Flush Star's Aloísio Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 95 played minutes Union Flush Star got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Gerber. In the 96th minute of the match Frederico Motta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maicon Pereira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Caveirão could leave the field as winners, despite Union Flush Star having more of the ball for most of the match.
