But to his dismay, Aloísio Bastos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Roger Rezende charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Rezende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Oratorio got a freekick which was hit by Roger Rezende. Severino de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Cacá Valle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oratorio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 33rd minute, Aloísio Bastos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Severino de Alcântara, passed just outside the right post. Union Flush Star's Rogério Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute Rogério Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rogério Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee gave Roger Rezende a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
