Caveirão's Breno Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chiquinho Gaúcho in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Duarte saved Caveirão from getting behind. Luisão de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Percival Montenegro heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Samuel Duarte made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Guilherme Damião sent off a good shot on target. Lauro Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Samuel Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiquinho Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho Gaúcho in the 39th minute of play forced Caveirão's goalkeeper Samuel Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Duarte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Chiquinho Gaúcho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 40 minute of play. Luisão de Mendonça came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Caveirão's Breno Moura. But to his dismay, Breno Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After the first half Caveirão were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Samuel Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Gaúcho in the 57th minute of play. Luisão de Mendonça made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Otávio Mazza sent off a good shot on target. 66 minutes into the match, Pech Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Luisão de Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otávio Mazza. In the 68th minute, Breno Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Otávio Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pech Futebol Clube's zone, Breno Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão de Mendonça came out of the goal and Breno Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the match, Caveirão's Breno Moura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisão de Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pech Futebol Clube's Nilson Moreira got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 79 played minutes Caveirão got a freekick which was hit by Diguinho Carneiro. After having played for 86 minutes, Otávio Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caveirão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breno Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th match minute, Pech Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Camargo to maneuver through the defense. 98 minutes into the match, Pech Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Moura came free, but Luisão de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Caveirão left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pech Futebol Clube.
