Luisão de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oratorio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juarês Cruz in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisão de Mendonça saved Pech Futebol Clube from getting behind. In the 18th minute Guilherme Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Pech Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Luisão de Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cacá Valle. Juarês Cruz struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Luisão de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oratorio. Severino de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquinho Gaúcho in the 28th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Oratorio's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Gaúcho came free, but Severino de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oratorio's Roger Rezende got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juarês Cruz in the 38th minute of play forced Pech Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Luisão de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Oratorio's Cacá Valle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisão de Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pech Futebol Clube's Deivid Meirelles got a free kick in the 41st minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Pech Futebol Clube's goalie and right to Eliseu Senna. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Pech Futebol Clube's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Juarês Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Oratorio's Severino de Alcântara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Oratorio from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá Valle in the 56th minute of play forced Pech Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Luisão de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Juarês Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luisão de Mendonça. Pech Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juarês Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Juarês Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Luisão de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino de Alcântara was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Chiquinho Gaúcho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chiquinho Gaúcho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oratorio's goalkeeper Severino de Alcântara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Oratorio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Teles to maneuver through the defense. A nice corner shot did that Túlio Romero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Severino de Alcântara quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Oratorio's Severino de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Gaúcho in the 82nd minute of play. When Cacá Valle came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Oratorio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cacá Valle couldn't finish the play. Cacá Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão de Mendonça having to interfere.
