Pinhais FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamute FC the free kick. Edgard Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Isidoro Bordat got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Walmyr Vinhas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Zonta having to make a save. After 31 played minutes Pinhais FC got a freekick which was hit by Hernani Braga. Paulo Zonta was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Walmyr Vinhas. Isidoro Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The Pinhais FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Zonta should have stopped the shot. Paulo Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Bordat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 played minutes Pinhais FC got a freekick which was hit by Elder de Sousa. 71 minutes into the match, Flamute FC's Walmyr Vinhas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 73rd match minute, Pinhais FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Berger to maneuver through the defense. When Isidoro Bordat came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Flamute FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Bordat couldn't finish the play. Gilson da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Guerra in the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Vinhas in the 92nd minute of play forced Pinhais FC's goalkeeper Paulo Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, Pinhais FC's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Vinhas came free, but Paulo Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 99th minute Isidoro Bordat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flamute FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
