Sebastião Alagoano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Evandro de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Gilson da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Evandro de Lara fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamute FC's protests and gave Evandro de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Evandro de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Lúcio Braga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilson da Fonseca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luisão Recife's late challenge caught a Flamute FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisão Recife helped the player get up and apologised. Flamute FC's Gilson da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pedro Paraibano in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Walmyr Vinhas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamute FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Isidoro Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Walmyr Vinhas made the kick off in the second half. Sebastião Alagoano was a little too slow when Isidoro Bordat got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Elite Alvinegro's zone, Isidoro Bordat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Alagoano came out of the goal and Isidoro Bordat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Elite Alvinegro's Luisão Recife got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Isidoro Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Alagoano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 71st minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. In the 78th play minute Isidoro Bordat came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sebastião Alagoano. 0-6. Isidoro Bordat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Sebastião Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Elite Alvinegro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Walmyr Vinhas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 93 minutes, Isidoro Bordat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamute FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Bordat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Flamute FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Walmyr Vinhas hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Flamute FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Pedro Paraibano came free, but Gilson da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Flamute FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Elite Alvinegro.
