Paulo Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Angico FC. Evandro Guerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chico Neto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Lino Baptista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Angico FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

In the 52nd minute, Lino Baptista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Zonta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. A collision led to Pinhais FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Edson Vieira hit a great ball. Waldir Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lino Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Paulo Zonta made a huge save. Lino Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Zonta having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Angico FC's Ademar de Moraes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Zonta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Evandro Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Pinhais FC's goalkeeper Paulo Zonta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Baptista. 82 minutes into the match, Angico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Guerra came free, but Chico Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Neto having to interfere. Chico Neto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Pinhais FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Angico FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Angico FC.
