Pururuca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remo Gomes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrézinho Penha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Donato Souza. That made the score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. In the 12th minute Válbson Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Pururuca FC booed when Jaudilandia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazinho de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Arthur da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pururuca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arthur da Mata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Pururuca FC defense, Bruninho Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Souza. The Pururuca FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Souza should have stopped the shot. After having played for 23 minutes, Pedrão Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pururuca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedrão Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur da Mata in the 25th minute of play forced Jaudilandia FC's goalkeeper José Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Jaudilandia FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Bruninho Silveira hit a great ball. The supporters of Pururuca FC booed when Jaudilandia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Pururuca FC's Delfim Prata got a free kick in the 47th minute. The audience cheered when Dieguinho Bastos's long shot passed Donato Souza's right side. It was 6-0, 48 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arthur da Mata to make the kick off. Donato Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu Pereira in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Pururuca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Donato Souza came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaudilandia FC's Romeu Pereira. But to his dismay, Romeu Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Luciano Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Arthur da Mata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arthur da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Castro having to interfere. Pedrão Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Pururuca FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Pedrão Rocha hit a great ball. Romeu Pereira struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Donato Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaudilandia FC. 73 minutes into the match, Jaudilandia FC's goalkeeper José Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arthur da Mata. Válbson Bueno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Castro having to make a save. If Remo Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pururuca FC's Donato Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Gomes in the 79th minute of play. If Arthur da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Válbson Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Pururuca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válbson Bueno couldn't finish the play. Jaudilandia FC's José Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Jaudilandia FC from getting a goal against them. Donato Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Pereira in the 94th minute of the match. Kiko Rodrigues hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Donato Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Gomes in the 98th minute of play.
