José Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Guerra in the 12th minute of play. If Romeu Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pinhais FC's Edson Vieira got a free kick in the 16th minute. Romeu Pereira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paulo Zonta came out and tried to block the shot, but Romeu Pereira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. José Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30thth minute of the game Evandro Guerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaudilandia FC's José Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Edgard Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Jaudilandia FC defense, Evandro Guerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Castro. The Jaudilandia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Castro should have stopped the shot. If Evandro Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evandro Guerra to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Evandro Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinhais FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Evandro Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute, Romeu Pereira made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Zonta. Pinhais FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Pinhais FC's Edgard Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaudilandia FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
