If Waldir Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute of the match Dieguinho Bastos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chico Neto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Angico FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Nando de Sena hit a great ball. Romeu Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Neto having to interfere. Dinei Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Angico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Gomes came free, but Chico Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angico FC's Lino Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Angico FC booed when Jaudilandia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute Waldir Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes, Bruninho Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaudilandia FC and the Angico FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bruninho Silveira hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Waldir Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Lino Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jaudilandia FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Angico FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dieguinho Bastos took the corner. After taking down the ball on Jaudilandia FC's corner Hélder Magalhães fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Chico Neto quite easily take care of the ball. Jaudilandia FC's José Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Teles in the 61st minute of play. José Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Baptista in the 62nd minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Romeu Pereira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Chico Neto, 0-2. With an all-out effort, Jaudilandia FC's Chico Neto threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Romeu Pereira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Remo Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ademar de Moraes during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Angico FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Chico Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu Pereira in the 84th minute of play. Waldir Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jaudilandia FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
