A collision led to Raso SS getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Pereira hit a great ball. Douglas Viana had several of the Raso SS's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Zeca Souto as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 22nd minute Douglas Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Rei Dos Antigos got a freekick which was hit by Mané Aguiar. Joélson Figueiredo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesinha Freitas's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Douglas Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rei Dos Antigos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Douglas Viana might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeca Souto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglas Viana ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Douglas Viana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeca Souto was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Zeca Souto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Douglas Viana went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Raso SS's Zeca Souto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Raso SS from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Raso SS's zone, Mané Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Souto came out of the goal and Mané Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Raso SS's Zeca Souto got control of the ball when Douglas Viana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Douglas Viana to make the kick off. Joélson Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute Douglas Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Viana in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeca Souto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mané Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Douglas Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rei Dos Antigos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rei Dos Antigos's Douglas Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilson Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Souto having to interfere. Joélson Figueiredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesinha Freitas in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute, Gilson Britto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rei Dos Antigos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Raso SS's Zeca Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Viana in the 90th minute of play. Zeca Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Guimarães in the 92nd minute of play. César Simão's late challenge caught a Raso SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. César Simão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, César Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Rei Dos Antigos were the better team. Rei Dos Antigos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
