After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Douglas Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rei Dos Antigos's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeca Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the game, Rei Dos Antigos's Douglas Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeca Souto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Cesinha Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rei Dos Antigos's Douglas Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Natã Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Cesinha Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Raso SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesinha Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 46 played minutes Rei Dos Antigos got a freekick which was hit by Natã Pimenta. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogério Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Gilson Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rei Dos Antigos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilson Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Douglas Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raso SS's Zeca Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson Britto in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Freitas in the 59th minute of play forced Rei Dos Antigos's goalkeeper Joélson Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rei Dos Antigos's Joélson Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Amaral in the 67th minute of play. Douglas Viana succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 68th playminute. After 74 played minutes, Rei Dos Antigos's Natã Pimenta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zeca Souto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rei Dos Antigos reached it. When Rei Dos Antigos's Douglas Viana in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Raso SS's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas Viana in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca Souto saved Raso SS from getting behind. Mané Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Souto having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Viana in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeca Souto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Douglas Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Souto having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Raso SS's zone, Douglas Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Souto came out of the goal and Douglas Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, Douglas Viana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeca Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The Rei Dos Antigos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rei Dos Antigos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
