An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Vânderson Fernandez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Douglas Viana took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antônio Carlos Brodel. Antônio Carlos Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. José Pedro Meirelles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joélson Figueiredo. Rei Dos Antigos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 29th of the match, Tarcisio Rossi tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Joélson Figueiredo got in the way and made a wonderful save. 1-2 became the score in the 31st minute when Vânderson Fernandez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tarcisio Rossi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Mané Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute of the match Natã Pimenta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antônio Carlos Brodel skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Douglas Viana put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Antônio Carlos Brodel. In the 78th minute, José Pedro Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Venesa FC's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Brodel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdomiro Borges. Joélson Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 101st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
