Aloísio Seco took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeca Souto. Vítor Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeca Souto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vítor Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Raso SS's zone, Aloísio Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Souto came out of the goal and Aloísio Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benedito Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Amaral in the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogério Amaral made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Rogério Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vítor Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Zeca Souto made a huge save. Erasmo de Queirós, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Aloísio Seco took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Zeca Souto to make any attempt to save it. Zeca Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Seco in the 89th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Marcelo Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Soccorro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Raso SS throughout the match.
