With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Pedro Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelinho Ceresso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but João Pedro Borges made a huge save. Agnaldo Carneiro's late challenge caught a Grêmio IGFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
