Joaquim de Queiroz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Dráuzio Maia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 14 minutes into the match, Celeste FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Arce came free, but Dráuzio Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dráuzio Maia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Antônio Arce showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Celeste FC's Dráuzio Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Arce in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes, Wilton Gaúcho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celeste FC and the Trainspotting players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Celeste FC's Wilton Gaúcho got a free kick in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Celeste FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Arce came free, but Dráuzio Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Joaquim de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Trainspotting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. After 69 played minutes, Celeste FC's Betão Amaral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Claudinei Mendes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Celeste FC reached it. Trainspotting's Claudinei Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Trainspotting from getting a goal against them. Dráuzio Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Francisco Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celeste FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Augusto Sampaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinei Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Francisco Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of Claudinei Mendes. Trainspotting's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
