Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alberto Guerra took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, CEARA SC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Guerra came free, but Doriva Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Ronaldo Secco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corinthians fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Doriva Donato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Guerra's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 15th match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Proença to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute of the match, Tomás Alves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Doriva Donato saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 26 minutes into the match, CEARA SC's goalkeeper Doriva Donato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Cabral. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Fabiano Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. CEARA SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrianinho Paes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doriva Donato made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Ronaldo Secco sent off a good shot on target. Doriva Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabiano Quintal to make the kick off. Alberto Guerra scored 3-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doriva Donato, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Roger Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Fabiano Quintal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adrianinho Paes, 3-2. After a rather tough play, CEARA SC's Natã Queirós got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute Ronaldo Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anderson Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Paes in the 72nd minute of play forced CEARA SC's goalkeeper Doriva Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doriva Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Doriva Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Cabral in the 82nd minute of the match. The supporters of CEARA SC booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Ronaldo Secco got a free kick in the 87th minute. Fabiano Quintal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Adrianinho Paes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 93 minutes into the match, Alan Cabral notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of CEARA SC's Doriva Donato. Doriva Donato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Corinthians players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
