In the 7th match minute, Cotinguiba AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Carioca to maneuver through the defense. If Dino Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafa Marinho was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Dino Trancoso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dino Trancoso really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Jacinto de Sena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rafa Marinho. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. After 22 played minutes Cotinguiba AD got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Proença. The audience was convinced that Jacinto de Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafa Marinho was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Rafa Marinho successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rafa Marinho made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Dino Trancoso sent off a good shot on target. Dino Trancoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Rafa Marinho made a huge save. In the 33rd match minute, Cotinguiba AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Severo to maneuver through the defense. Dino Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Rafa Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Centro Sportivo Alagoano's Dino Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafa Marinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 48 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Velasco came free, but Rafa Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Róbson Corrêa took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafa Marinho. Rafa Marinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 63 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Trancoso came free, but Rafa Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dino Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Rafa Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Renato Severo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cotinguiba AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Centro Sportivo Alagoano the free kick. A collision led to Cotinguiba AD getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Renato Severo hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto de Sena in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafa Marinho saved Cotinguiba AD from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cotinguiba AD's zone, Dino Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafa Marinho came out of the goal and Dino Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafa Marinho came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Centro Sportivo Alagoano's Jacinto de Sena. But to his dismay, Jacinto de Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 91 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto de Sena came free, but Rafa Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Centro Sportivo Alagoano fully deserved thier win.
