Dráuzio Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Paiva in the 4th minute of the match. When MotoSerra FC's Jonas Paiva in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Celeste FC's goalie prevented a goal. 9 minutes into the match, MotoSerra FC's Jonas Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dráuzio Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Celeste FC's José Augusto Sampaio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Murillo Simões. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. After 17 played minutes Celeste FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilton Gaúcho. Kléberson Peres hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Celeste FC's Dráuzio Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Paiva in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Jonas Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If José Augusto Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Augusto Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Murillo Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MotoSerra FC's Narciso de Andrade couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Celeste FC. Jonas Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Celeste FC's zone, Jonas Paiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráuzio Maia came out of the goal and Jonas Paiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Albuquerque struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Dráuzio Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MotoSerra FC. Dráuzio Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 minutes of play, MotoSerra FC's Luís Albuquerque made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dráuzio Maia was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Abelardo Rosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Dráuzio Maia made a huge save. Dráuzio Maia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonas Paiva's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Luís Albuquerques short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Dráuzio Maia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 58th minute, MotoSerra FC's Jonas Paiva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dráuzio Maia. Dráuzio Maia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind MotoSerra FC's goalkeeper Murillo Simões, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Albuquerque got free with Dráuzio Maia in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Luís Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. MotoSerra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Albuquerque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dráuzio Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Celeste FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Kléberson Peres hit a great ball. Dráuzio Maia was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cesinha Jacinto. Celeste FC's Dráuzio Maia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Celeste FC from getting a goal against them. In the 77th match minute, MotoSerra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Celeste FC's Betão Amaral tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Francisco Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 90 minutes, Luís Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MotoSerra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over MotoSerra FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Celeste FC throughout the match.
