Spectators: 7303 (Terracing: 5478, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) Alberto Guerra started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 2 played minutes Trainspotting got a freekick which was hit by Victor de Senna. If Ronaldo Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ronaldo Secco hit a great ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Ronaldo Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Corinthians's Adrianinho Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Arce in the 13th minute of play. Alberto Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Mendes having to interfere. Claudinei Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Secco in the 17th minute of the match. Alberto Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Claudinei Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim de Queiroz in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adrianinho Paes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alberto Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Mendes having to interfere. If Ronaldo Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Ronaldo Secco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinei Mendes was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Ronaldo Secco took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinei Mendes. Claudinei Mendes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alberto Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinei Mendes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute, one of Trainspotting:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Trainspotting. In the 44th minute Antônio Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Antônio Arce made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trainspotting! After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Ronaldo Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Secco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolas Paes hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Victor de Senna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adrianinho Paes. Corinthians's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ronaldo Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Joaquim de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Trainspotting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. In the 78thth minute of the game Antônio Arce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corinthians's Adrianinho Paes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquim de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 86th minute Alberto Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Claudinei Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, Trainspotting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Rossi to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Trainspotting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilvan Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Corinthians walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
