Yasin Juanda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim de Queiroz in the 24th minute of the match. Antônio Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bristol Rovers FC's Yasin Juanda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Arce in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bristol Rovers FC's Bruninho de Amorim got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Joaquim de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yasin Juanda having to interfere. Elói Moura lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bristol Rovers FC! Victor de Senna walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After having played for 42 minutes, Róbson de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bristol Rovers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Róbson de Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Arce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Trainspotting getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tomé Neves hit a great ball. Yasin Juanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Arce in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Aírton Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trainspotting's Joaquim de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Róbson de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bristol Rovers FC's Róbson de Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruninho de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Claudinei Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Trainspotting's Antônio Arce dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Claudinei Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbson de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joaquim de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruninho de Amorim hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The Bristol Rovers FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Trainspotting's performance. The match ended with a win for Trainspotting.
