The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruy Britto was the one to do the kick off. Beto Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Secco in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Salvador FC's Válbson Coutinho got a free kick in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Secco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Beto Mattos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronaldo Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
