Doriva Donato made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Erasmo dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Doriva Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CEARA SC's Doriva Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto de Sena in the 74th minute of play. Roger Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Arruda having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Anderson Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. CEARA SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anderson Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Jacinto de Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Centro Sportivo Alagoano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Doriva Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Centro Sportivo Alagoano's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
