After a rather tough play, Tottenham's Christiano Passos got a free kick in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the game Clóvis Monteiro kicked a great long shot which passed Otávio de Barros straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-0. One couldn't see Clóvis Monteiro behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. In the 8th match minute, Tottenham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséas Lira to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Quintal in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otávio de Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Natã Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natã Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tottenham booed when CEARA SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Doriva Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tottenham. In the 20th minute, Jonathan Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CEARA SC's Fabiano Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Natã Queirós in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Tottenham's Diamantino de Moraes. In the 29th match minute, CEARA SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Proença to maneuver through the defense. Otávio de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otávio de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Quintal in the 37th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, CEARA SC's Fabiano Quintal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Otávio de Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oséas Lira was the one to do the kick off. Clóvis Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Otávio de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Gonçalves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Doriva Donato skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Clóvis Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clóvis Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Otávio de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Quintal in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Tottenham getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Oséas Lira hit a great ball. Tottenham's Otávio de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Quintal in the 78th minute of play. Jonathan Gonçalves in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Doriva Donato, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 83rd minute, Christiano Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doriva Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Mangueira in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Roger Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th match minute, Tottenham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséas Lira to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Tottenham getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Oséas Lira hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tottenham players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CEARA SC.
