Spectators: 7176 (Terracing: 5384, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claudinei Terra started the match with the kick off. A nice corner shot did that Luiz Paulo Salles got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joel Dias quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Nelsinho Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 15 minutes into the match, M1TO RC's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Braga came free, but Joel Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Luís Fábio Dracena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joel Dias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinei Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Terra in the 25th minute of play forced M1TO RC's goalkeeper Joel Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. M1TO RC's Joel Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Braga in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, M1TO RC's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu da Rocha came free, but Joel Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Claudinei Terra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Penedia SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Nelsinho Saldanha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Angelo Medeiros made a huge save. In the 37th minute Claudinei Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Penedia SS's Luís Fábio Dracena got a free kick in the 39th minute. Joel Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio Dracena in the 43rd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nelsinho Saldanha to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, M1TO RC's Cristóvão Freire got a free kick in the 51st minute. The supporters of Penedia SS booed when M1TO RC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Dias made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Luís Fábio Dracena sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narciso Berger during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot 61 in the game by Luís Fábio Dracena from a close distance when the talented Joel Dias managed to make a qualified save. M1TO RC's players were relieved. The referee felt a red card was in order, 64 minutes into the game, when Manfredo Lima put in a rough tackle. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for M1TO RC! Paulinho Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Angelo Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulinho Rosa in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, M1TO RC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Joel Dias was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luiz Paulo Salles. Luiz Paulo Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Joel Dias made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Luís Fábio Dracena sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelsinho Saldanha in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Medeiros saved Penedia SS from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Terra in the 83rd minute of play forced M1TO RC's goalkeeper Joel Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelsinho Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The audience held their breath when Paulinho Rosa in the 91st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Angelo Medeiros's left hand side. Angelo Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Freire in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Aníbal Sampaio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The M1TO RC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The Penedia SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Penedia SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
