The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Gualter Tinoco took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Angelo Medeiros to make any attempt to save it. If Paulo Renato Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fábio Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Cipriano Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Meira in the 36th minute of the match. If Olavo Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, PSHIX F.C.'s Gualter Tinoco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Paulo Renato Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Queiroz having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fábio Dracena was the one to do the kick off. PSHIX F.C.'s Flavinho Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th match minute, PSHIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in PSHIX F.C.'s zone, Paulo Renato Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Queiroz came out of the goal and Paulo Renato Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Fábio Dracena was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Penedia SS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 63rd minute, Silas Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Renato Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cipriano Queiroz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 66th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. In the 69th minute, Silas Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. PSHIX F.C. had won after a very even match.
