Amargoso's attentive Claudinho Vasconcelos managed to snatch the ball when Luciano de Amorim made a throw-in in the 4th minute of the game. Ricardo Nogueira took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitinho Aparecido. Vitinho Aparecido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 10th minute, Marco Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benigno Michael struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Vitinho Aparecido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F. C. Amargoso. Ricardo Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Vitinho Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Benigno Michael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Erasmo Paide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ricardo Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the F. C. Amargoso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Nogueira couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, F. C. Amargoso's Fernandinho Mello got control of the ball when Gilmar Veiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute, one of F. C. Amargoso:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F. C. Amargoso. The referee gave Grêmio PX a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vítor Capixaba, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of F. C. Amargoso's Fernandinho Mello. 1-1. 34 minutes into the game, Erasmo Paide cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Vitinho Aparecido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vitinho Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benigno Michael, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The supporters of F. C. Amargoso booed when Grêmio PX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitinho Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Lucas in the 41st minute of the match. If Ricardo Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benigno Michael to strike the kick off in the second half. Vitinho Aparecido didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. After a rather tough play, Grêmio PX's Vítor Capixaba got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Marco Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio PX's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernandinho Mello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vitinho Aparecido was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ricardo Nogueira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 74 minute of play. Ricardo Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The throw-in from Luciano de Amorim in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by F. C. Amargoso's Claudinho Vasconcelos. If Nicolas Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded F. C. Amargoso left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Grêmio PX.
