Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Subaio's Cristóvão Marquez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Vander in the 6th minute of play forced Subaio's goalkeeper João Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Peres in the 10th minute of play forced Nhangapi SC's goalkeeper Magno de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Subaio booed when Nhangapi SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cristóvão Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Subaio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Marquez couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd match minute, Subaio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Nhangapi SC's José Carlos Mangueira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Subaio. In the 30th match minute, Subaio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by José Carlos Mangueira from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got João Couto's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 32nd minute, Cristian Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel de Queirós got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 38th match minute before João Couto had time to react. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Mazinho Vander made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Subaio's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. José Carlos Mangueira was slow to take the kick. During this time Nhangapi SC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Nhangapi SC's corner José Carlos Mangueira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and João Couto quite easily take care of the ball. In the 55th minute of the match Joélson Gaspar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Couto skillfully saved the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Subaio's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Vander came free, but João Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Manoel Siqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel de Queirós's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Subaio's João Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Vander in the 79th minute of play. Daniel de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. João Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Vander, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Daniel de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Couto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel de Queirós in the 88th minute of play forced Subaio's goalkeeper João Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Mazinho Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramiro Palmeira charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Palmeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Subaio's Ramiro Palmeira got a free kick in the 95th minute.
