Libertados 2012's Frederico Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandrinho Rosado in the 10th minute of play. If Nildo Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Salles hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Libertados 2012's goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Paraense came free, but Frederico Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandrinho Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Diniz having to interfere. In the 37th minute Luisão Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisão Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Frederico Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luisão Paraense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frederico Diniz having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Libertados 2012's zone, Sandrinho Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Diniz came out of the goal and Sandrinho Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

If Nildo Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the game, Perivaldo Medeiros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jailson Meirelles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Perivaldo Medeiros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jailson Meirelles was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After having played for 91 minutes, Nildo Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Libertados 2012's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nildo Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Libertados 2012 had won after a very even match.
