Ramiro das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Savas EC's Narciso Nascimento in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abaitinga FC's goalie prevented a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Enrique Saldanha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kajetan Gmoch. Abaitinga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Kajetan Gmoch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Nascimento in the 21st minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Abaitinga FC's goalkeeper Kajetan Gmoch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Saldanha. Marcelinho do Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelinho do Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Savas EC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho do Nascimento. 35 minutes into the match, Enrique Saldanha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kajetan Gmoch. Abaitinga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Savas EC's goalkeeper Chiquinho Quadros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ramiro das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Chiquinho Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chiquinho Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro das Neves in the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luiz Goiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savas EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abaitinga FC the free kick.

In the 51st minute, Narciso Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 52nd match minute, Abaitinga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Mello to maneuver through the defense. After 54 played minutes Abaitinga FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro das Neves. If Enrique Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ramiro das Neves struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Chiquinho Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abaitinga FC. Abaitinga FC's Kajetan Gmoch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Sergipano in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Abaitinga FC's zone, Enrique Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kajetan Gmoch came out of the goal and Enrique Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 minutes, Ulisses Mello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abaitinga FC and the Savas EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ulisses Mello hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Ramiro das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Quadros having to interfere. Enrique Saldanha scored 4-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kajetan Gmoch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Narciso Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kajetan Gmoch having to interfere. Kajetan Gmoch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Ramiro das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
