FL's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto das Neves came free, but Renato Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Váldson Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Camargo having to interfere. Renato Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Furlan in the 35th minute of play. After 40 minutes of play, Roma FC's Dagoberto das Neves made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renato Camargo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Dagoberto das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Váldson Furlan made a kick off. Renato Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Furlan in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Roma FC's Vivaldo da Fonseca got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Naldo do Vale sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Roma FC's Lucas Mandrak didn't even have to move. Dé Bertassi might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucas Mandrak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dé Bertassi ran back to his position shaking his head. If Váldson Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Bertassi in the 73rd minute of the match. If Dé Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvinho Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
