To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adhemar Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Raúl Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marcel Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Marcel Moraes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evaristo Amaral, 1-0. Felipe Pontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 101st minute of the match, but Raúl Ferraz made a huge save. Queluz SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
