Manfredo Silveira scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raúl Ferraz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcel Moraes in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorginho Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute, Marcel Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Guilherme Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Barcelona getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Benjamim Mineiro hit a great ball. Raúl Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raúl Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Gomes in the 35th minute of play. Erik Valadares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcel Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel Gomes to strike the kick off in the second half. If Murillo Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Barcelona's much stronger midfield.
