Brusque's Manfredo Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorginho Branco came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Queluz SC's Felipe Pontes. But to his dismay, Felipe Pontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 14th match minute, Brusque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Mattos to maneuver through the defense. Jorginho Branco came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Queluz SC's João Adolfo Ribeiro. But to his dismay, João Adolfo Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Queluz SC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Valério Paraense hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Pontes in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorginho Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Pontes in the 21st minute of play forced Brusque's goalkeeper Jorginho Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Abel Gomes took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Evaristo Amaral to make any attempt to save it. In the 29th minute Adhemar Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Brusque defense, Adhemar Pombal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorginho Branco. The Brusque fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorginho Branco should have stopped the shot. In the 35thth minute of the game Felipe Pontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brusque's Jorginho Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Queluz SC booed when Brusque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorginho Branco came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Queluz SC's Felipe Pontes. But to his dismay, Felipe Pontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Gomes to make the kick off. Brusque's Jorginho Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Pombal in the 52nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Pontes got free with Jorginho Branco in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Adhemar Pombal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jorginho Branco. The goal made the score 1-6. After having played for 65 minutes, Felipe Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queluz SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Pontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adhemar Pombal scored 1-7 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorginho Branco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brusque's Jorginho Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Pontes in the 71st minute of play. Jorginho Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Pontes in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, Brusque's Jorginho Branco got control of the ball when Felipe Pontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jorginho Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Pombal in the 76th minute of the match. If Adhemar Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorginho Branco made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Felipe Pontes sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the match, Brusque's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar Pombal came free, but Jorginho Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute, Felipe Pontes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the match was over Queluz SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Brusque throughout the match.
