The Itacolomi EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Uruguaiana's goalkeeper Róbson Pires had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aníbal Reis. Uruguaiana's Róbson Pires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguaiana from getting a goal against them. Dedê Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Túlio Perez was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 68 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uruguaiana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Peres during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Uruguaiana booed when Itacolomi EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kiko Chaves scored 4-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Róbson Pires, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Reis in the 92nd minute of play forced Uruguaiana's goalkeeper Róbson Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Itacolomi EC's Aníbal Reis suffered a sore thigh after 98 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvério Barros during the 98th minute. There was no doubt that Itacolomi EC were the better team. Itacolomi EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
