After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Aníbal Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itacolomi EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristiano Netto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Dedê Mattos made a huge save. The supporters of Loko Di Tudo FC booed when Itacolomi EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiko Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 22 minutes of play, Itacolomi EC's Kiko Chaves made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roberto Toscano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Renan Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Dedê Mattos made a huge save. In the 38th minute, Kiko Chaves made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Toscano. Loko Di Tudo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Aníbal Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Roberto Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. César Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 49 minutes into the match, Loko Di Tudo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Chaves came free, but Roberto Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kiko Chaves made a kick off. Dedê Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Messias in the 53rd minute of play. Dedê Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 played minutes Itacolomi EC got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Pena. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Messias in the 60th minute of play forced Itacolomi EC's goalkeeper Dedê Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Kiko Chaves put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Roberto Toscano. After 65 played minutes Itacolomi EC got a freekick which was hit by Edu Torres. With a couple of smart ball manuevers César Barreto in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dedê Mattos saved Itacolomi EC from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Edu Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kiko Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Roberto Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 75th minute, but Roberto Toscano got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Loko Di Tudo FC hanging dry this time. Kiko Chaves was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Aníbal Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Messias in the 86th minute of play forced Itacolomi EC's goalkeeper Dedê Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Itacolomi EC's Dedê Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Messias in the 89th minute of play. Renan Messias struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Dedê Mattos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loko Di Tudo FC. The Itacolomi EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Itacolomi EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
