Afonso Nunes started the match with the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Uruguaiana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Queluz SC. João Adolfo Ribeiro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Róbson Pires. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adhemar Pombal in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Róbson Pires prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adhemar Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 played minutes Uruguaiana got a freekick which was hit by Washington Batista. Felipe Pontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Róbson Pires having to make a save. In the 24th minute Fabiano Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Pontes struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Róbson Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queluz SC. 27 minutes into the match, Adhemar Pombal notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Uruguaiana's Róbson Pires. Róbson Pires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 31 minutes, Felipe Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queluz SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Pontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 33 minutes of play, Queluz SC's Felipe Pontes made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Róbson Pires was left in no man's land by his defense there! Afonso Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Róbson Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Pombal in the 39th minute of play. Donato Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Adhemar Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Róbson Pires was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Róbson Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Pombal in the 46th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Uruguaiana got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Melo. In the 48th minute of the match João Adolfo Ribeiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Róbson Pires showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

Afonso Nunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaristo Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Nunes ran back to his position shaking his head. Adhemar Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Felipe Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uruguaiana's Róbson Pires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguaiana from getting a goal against them. When Uruguaiana's Afonso Nunes in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Queluz SC's goalie prevented a goal. Queluz SC's Guga Paiva shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 82nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Róbson Pires but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Uruguaiana's Róbson Pires got control of the ball when Felipe Pontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adhemar Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Afonso Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguaiana's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Uruguaiana fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Queluz SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
