The audience was convinced that Antônio Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cafu Corrêa was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Rodrigues during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of World Strong Litoral booed when Villa das Conchas SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Nestor Mendes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Quirino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Villa das Conchas SC's goalkeeper Marcos Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelsinho Schmidt. Nelsinho Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Marcos Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Marcos Quirino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bernardinho da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Cafu Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa das Conchas SC. If Nelsinho Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto de Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicolas Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Jacinto de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Nelsinho Schmidt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Quirino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 63rd minute Jacinto de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto de Senna in the 71st minute of play forced World Strong Litoral's goalkeeper Cafu Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Renato de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jacinto de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Villa das Conchas SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto de Senna couldn't finish the play. Reinaldo Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. World Strong Litoral's Cafu Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save World Strong Litoral from getting a goal against them. World Strong Litoral's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
