In the 23rd minute, Waldir de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, MaraBaly's goal looked a bit too open when Jarbas Macedo came free, but Nico Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amauri Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Souto in the 29th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 minutes of play, EC ANDRADINA's Norberto Maciel made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nico Secco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th minute Romeu da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarbas Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Secco having to interfere. Amauri Pitta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Pires in the 62nd minute. Amauri Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Falcão in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Enrique Pires made a precise shot to the right of Amauri Pitta. EC ANDRADINA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Arthur Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Pitta having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Enrique Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MaraBaly's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Maria Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Souto in the 97th minute of play forced EC ANDRADINA's goalkeeper Amauri Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
