Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Couto came free, but Cipriano Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, João Paulo Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baiazinha's supporters rose to their feet, but João Paulo Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Mazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tostão Sergipano charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tostão Sergipano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Genílson Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Duarte Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Trancoso in the 16th minute of the match. After 18th play minutes Zé Pedro Loureiro shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Duarte Valladares and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Trancoso in the 24th minute of play forced Baiazinha's goalkeeper Duarte Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Pedro Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Duarte Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Paulo Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Belmiro Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cipriano Mazza made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Oscar Tavares sent off a good shot on target. Cipriano Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Couto in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Belmiro Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sidnei da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Romeu Rossi hit a great ball. João Paulo Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cipriano Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Baiazinha's Duarte Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Pedro Loureiro in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Zé Pedro Loureiro made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Zé Pedro Loureiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baiazinha's Duarte Valladares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Pedro Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Duarte Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Santos FC's Zé Pedro Loureiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duarte Valladares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Zé Pedro Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 64th minute of the match Belmiro Trancoso completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Belmiro Trancoso a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Belmiro Trancoso got a free kick in the 65th minute. Zé Pedro Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Valladares having to interfere. In the 89th minute João Paulo Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Josué Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baiazinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos FC the free kick. When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, Santos FC's André Teixeira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Duarte Valladares. If Zé Pedro Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Santos FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Baiazinha.
