But to his dismay, Romeu da Mata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The audience was convinced that Artur Leme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amauri Pitta was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jarbas Macedo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, EC ANDRADINA's Romeu da Mata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frank Fantini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After having played for 56 minutes, Jarbas Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC ANDRADINA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas Macedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artur Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Pitta having to interfere. Jarbas Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarbas Macedo took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Fantini. Frank Fantini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Amauri Pitta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artur Leme in the 78th minute. David Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Amauri Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Jarbas Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Fantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Artur Leme notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of EC ANDRADINA's Amauri Pitta.
