Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hortêncio Mandrak started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Aílton Lago came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Helvecia SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aílton Lago couldn't finish the play. After 9 minutes of play, Helvecia SC's Hélio Arce made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Hélio Arce fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Helvecia SC's protests and gave Hélio Arce a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Meninos da Vila booed when Helvecia SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hortêncio Mandrak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Meninos da Vila's attentive Cesinha Moreno managed to snatch the ball when Aílton Lago made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. When Geovanni do Vale fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meninos da Vila's protests and gave Geovanni do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. Meninos da Vila's Igor de Andrade managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Chiquinho Romero in the 87 minute of the game. Afonso Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélio Arce in the 93rd minute. The Meninos da Vila fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Helvecia SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
