After 34 played minutes Escrivao got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Gonçalves. After a rather tough play, Escrivao's Lino Massa got a free kick in the 36th minute. BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Escrivao's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Conrado Ferreira took the corner. Francisco Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Claudinei Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jardel Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 47 minutes of play, BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB's Vito Neves made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jardel Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Alves to make the kick off. David Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB's Conrado Ferreira took a good shot, in the 54th minute, which hit the crossbar above Jardel Gomes's head, and flew over the goal. Escrivao's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB. If Francisco Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardel Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Alves in the 61st minute of play. When Vitório Furtado was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. In the 63rd match minute, BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Jean Mangueira came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gilson da Rocha could save by the left post. 76 minutes into the game, Edgar Abreu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Escrivao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB the free kick. Edgar Abreu hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Edgar Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Escrivao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Abreu couldn't finish the play. Francisco Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Escrivao's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Trancoso came free, but Jardel Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Escrivao's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
