Juan Peres scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jardel Gomes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, SÃO LUCAS F C's Benjamim Gaúcho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jardel Gomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee ignored Escrivao's protests and gave Zé Roberto Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Escrivao got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Gonçalves. Juan Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Gomes having to interfere. The supporters of SÃO LUCAS F C booed when Escrivao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Juan Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Peres was the one to do the kick off. After taking down the ball on SÃO LUCAS F C's corner Ricardo Jacinto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jardel Gomes quite easily take care of the ball. If Juan Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, one of Escrivao:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jardel Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Peres in the 68th minute of play. Juan Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jardel Gomes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Escrivao getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Dedê Gomes hit a great ball. Lino Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The SÃO LUCAS F C fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when SÃO LUCAS F C's Benjamim Gaúcho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Benjamim Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
