Jean Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Maciel having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Agnelo FC's Laércio de Queirós ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jardel Gomes. Jardel Gomes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Laércio de Queirós received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jardel Gomes came out and tried to block the shot, but Laércio de Queirós slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. Laércio de Queirós struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Jardel Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agnelo FC. Carlos Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lino Massa to strike the kick off in the second half. If Carlos Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Laércio de Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jardel Gomes. Escrivao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio de Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The supporters of Escrivao booed when Agnelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position.
