Spectators: 7181 (Terracing: 5388, Seating: 1651, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when José Carlos Moura kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute Clóvis Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genílson Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Inhaumense FC's Jonas Queirós nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustavo Mesquita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Wellington Quadros came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Inhaumense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wellington Quadros couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Wellington Quadros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Mesquita was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. After 17 played minutes Inhaumense FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Queirós. When JV&M Esporte e Açao's José Carlos Moura in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, JV&M Esporte e Açao's Anselmo Saraiva got a free kick in the 27th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Jonas Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inhaumense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Wellington Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inhaumense FC's Genílson Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clóvis Furtado in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Silvinho Breckenfeld was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JV&M Esporte e Açao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inhaumense FC the free kick. A collision led to JV&M Esporte e Açao getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Silvinho Breckenfeld hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the game, Fausto Nóbrega was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inhaumense FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JV&M Esporte e Açao the free kick. Fausto Nóbrega hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Clóvis Furtado made a precise shot to the right of Genílson Falcão. Inhaumense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Inhaumense FC's goalkeeper Genílson Falcão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clóvis Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Genílson Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Queirós in the 57th minute of play forced JV&M Esporte e Açao's goalkeeper Gustavo Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexsandro Matos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Clóvis Furtado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genílson Falcão. Inhaumense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clóvis Furtado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 68 minutes into the game, one of Inhaumense FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alexsandro Matos walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Wellington Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. JV&M Esporte e Açao's Gustavo Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Queirós in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Leandro Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd match minute, JV&M Esporte e Açao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute Jonas Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Jonas Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inhaumense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. JV&M Esporte e Açao's Clóvis Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
