Hélio Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Júlio Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hélio Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 9th minute, Zeca Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hélio Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 12 minutes, Osvaldinho Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helvecia SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldinho Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Luiz Fabiano dos Santos fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Helvecia SC's protests and gave Luiz Fabiano dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu de Amorim in the 19th minute of play forced Helvecia SC's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dedeco fc's zone, Hélio Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Toledo came out of the goal and Hélio Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélio Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseu de Amorim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Guilherme Oliveira came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliseu de Amorim slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. Jânio Paiva hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Dedeco fc's zone, Aílton Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Toledo came out of the goal and Aílton Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Diogo Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dedeco fc's protests and gave Diogo Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Dedeco fc got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Abreu. Hélio Arce might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Júlio Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélio Arce ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Helvecia SC! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseu de Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Helvecia SC booed when Dedeco fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélio Arces short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Júlio Toledo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luiz Fabiano dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th match minute, Dedeco fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Júlio Toledo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Douglas Xavier. The supporters of Helvecia SC booed when Dedeco fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Dedeco fc's Jânio Paiva got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Aílton Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Dedeco fc's João Augusto Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Guilherme Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Júlio Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélio Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Helvecia SC's Luiz Fabiano dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hélio Arce received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Júlio Toledo came out and tried to block the shot, but Hélio Arce slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 74th minute. Hélio Arce in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Júlio Toledo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dedeco fc's Júlio Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Dedeco fc from getting a goal against them. Hélio Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hélio Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Toledo having to interfere. The Dedeco fc support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
