Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) SÃO LUCAS F C's Juan Peres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of SÃO LUCAS F C booed when Bago AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Juan Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Bago AD's Benjamim Marinho got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Peres in the 15th minute of play forced Bago AD's goalkeeper Edson Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitinho Damião struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Cléberson Furlan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bago AD. With his leg Edson Leite managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when SÃO LUCAS F C's Benjamim Gaúcho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamim Gaúcho got free with Edson Leite in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Tadeu Bezerra fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SÃO LUCAS F C's protests and gave Tadeu Bezerra a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes SÃO LUCAS F C got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Bezerra. After 33 played minutes Bago AD got a freekick which was hit by Acácio de Brito. SÃO LUCAS F C's Benjamim Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Peres in the 42nd minute of play forced Bago AD's goalkeeper Edson Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The attack was good, but when Juan Peres in the 52nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Doriva Guedes charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Doriva Guedes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Doriva Guedes hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute Benjamim Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edson Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Juan Peres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bago AD's Edson Leite was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bago AD's Edson Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Gaúcho in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Gilmar Paraibano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bago AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SÃO LUCAS F C the free kick. In the 60th match minute, Bago AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. Benjamim Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Leite having to interfere. The supporters of SÃO LUCAS F C booed when Bago AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Peres in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edson Leite saved Bago AD from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Bago AD's Benjamim Marinho got a free kick in the 69th minute. Benjamim Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, João Adolfo Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bago AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Adolfo Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When SÃO LUCAS F C's Benjamim Gaúcho in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bago AD's goalie prevented a goal. Benjamim Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Paulinho Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Leite having to interfere. In the 85th minute, one of Bago AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bago AD. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for SÃO LUCAS F C. Ricardo Jacinto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edson Leite. 1-0. Edson Leite came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by SÃO LUCAS F C's Juan Peres. But to his dismay, Juan Peres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When the referee ended the match the SÃO LUCAS F C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
