A collision led to Escrivao getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Dedê Gomes hit a great ball. Meninos da Vila's Afonso Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Mangueira in the 18th minute of play. After 23 minutes, Jean Mangueira made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Meninos da Vila's Afonso Toledo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Meninos da Vila's Cesinha Moreno got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute, Hortêncio Mandrak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jardel Gomes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lino Massa to make the kick off. Hortêncio Mandrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jardel Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Escrivao got a freekick which was hit by David Sanches. Wilton Gonçalves made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dino do Nascimento. Lino Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Toledo having to interfere. A collision led to Meninos da Vila getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Hortêncio Mandrak hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Meninos da Vila's Cacá de Sousa got a free kick in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Escrivao's zone, Hortêncio Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Gomes came out of the goal and Hortêncio Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Escrivao's Jardel Gomes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Escrivao from getting a goal against them. Afonso Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedê Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Massa in the 94th minute of play forced Meninos da Vila's goalkeeper Afonso Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesinha Moreno was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 96 minutes into the match. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Meninos da Vila! Meninos da Vila:s Afonso Toledo showed great skill when he stopped David Sanches:s penalty. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
